Meticulous Elizabeth

This week we interviewed some one special. We interveiwed Elizabeth, the reason why she is special is because it is Mrs. McKearn little sister. Elizabeth went to IU she picked to go to IU because of their art program. When Elizabeth was in college she said she was very shy and did not have friends following her around. But when she graduated people called and asked for her advice because she is a alumni of IU. Then she moved to New York City to work for Christian Cota in fashion. Elizabeth said she was happy when she got her job. She works with celebrities to help them find an outfit that's right for them. Once she even helped Christian Cota design a dress. She gets pictures of the celebrities wearing Christian Cota and then post them online. Elizabeth said they had to work as a team or they would not get anything done. And she works with some people in California. Her hobby is reading books about dogs. When she is done working for Christian Cota she said she is going back to college to help people with drug and alcohol abuse. That's what I learned about Elizabeth!

Learning about Construction Management

The class of 2025 interveiwed someone new. We interveiwed Myron he  is a construction manager and  a fitness trainer. He taught us a lot, but before I get started there is one thing you should know. Myron likes to get to know you before he tells you about his-self. Myron was born in Flint,Michigan. When he was a child he liked to build towns out of pop tart boxes and Legos. That's when he knew that being a construction maneger was a good job for him. So he picked MSU as his  college because he knew it was good for him. When he graduated he jumped right into work. He moved to Las,Angles to start construction management. Then he moved to New York to be fitness trainer. He said he loves New York sometimes and he said pick what you want to be and share it with someone you trust. And he also said it is hard running two bussiness. Thats what we learened about Myron.

How Leigh Found what's Right For Her.

Today the class of 2025 interviewed someone new. That someone new is Leigh Brown. Leigh grew up on a farm. She started driving at the age of 13. Then she went of to college in Flordia. Then she moved to go to a different college at Chapel Hill. Then she had to pay money to stay in that college. So she took the morning hours for college. Then after she got out of school she worked at a diner. Then she got done with college and went to New York for a job but she did not like it. Because they said she will have to move every year. She said that she don't like people to boss her. She also said that she like to try new things because in her job she has to every day.  Her advise for us was if we change our mind about something it's ok.  Now Leigh works for Remax with her father. And that's are interview with Leigh.

About Emily Emily Emily

The class of 2025 interveiwed some one new and her name is Emily.  Emily went to I U to do fashion she wanted to go to I U because it was near by her family.  If she had to pick another school she said it would be in California. But when she was done with college she went to New York to do fashion because they had many fashion lines. But then she changed her mind and wanted to be a Digital Strategist. She said she liked going to I U because the had many opportunities. She told the class of 2025 to not post stuff online that will mess up your future in getting a good job. She said it is big and New York and many people speaking different language. She said she liked to try new things because  your going to need to try a new thing to get a good job. At where she work at digital is social websites like Facebook. And she also said she never designed a google page. So that's all about Emily!

What I Want To Do.

Hello!I'm going to tell you what I want to be and what college I want to go to and why. The class of 2025 have been doing some research on what we want to be and what college we want to go to. I've  picked I want to go to Millikin University it's location is in Decatur,Illinois. I picked Millikan because its not that far from home. I think Millikin is a good college because many people get there degree. I would like to get my degree In nursing I would like to be a nurse because I like to help people who need help. I think it would be a good thing and plus you make a lot of money. You get to help people how need help and I like doing that because one day they might be helping me. So get ready because in the year of 2025 you're gonna hear the boom!

Michael The Architect!

This week we interviewed some one new!  His name is Micheal and he is architect.  This is all the new facts I learned about him.

Michael stared architecture when he was young.  He said "I stared doing architecture because I can design house's".  And he had to work as a team to get the work done.  He went to UNC and his in degree was architecture.    He had to study architecture for 10 years.  He said "Dont get comfortable with your work".  He said "Try new things and dont give up in something you believe in".  He said  "Ask alot of questions in the world around you".  He like's to draw and thats part of his job.  He likes being a architect.

My Interview John

Welcome to my blog!   Every week my class will interview someone new and learn about education and their careers.   Our weekly interveiws will be a part of our We 've Got Our i 's On Careers project.

This week we interviewed John!   I learned that John had one sister and three brothers.   And that his dad did not put that much pressure on him.   He paid for his college.   And on his first year of college he did not good grades.   His parents did not get to go to college.   He stared science because of his professors.   When he stared science some of the things he made did not work but he never gave up. He graduated from NIU.   He had to move from state to state for his job.   When he moved he was scared at first but then he faced the bright side he was doing something he loved.  He said that it took team work to do science.   He still try's to make something new.   If he did not do science he would have been a teacher.
